Sandi Hayes
Prof Sandi Hayes is an Exercise Oncology Scientist, Epidemiologist and Senior Research Fellow within Menzies Research Institute Queensland, Griffith University. Her cancer survivorship program of research seeks to improve the lives of those diagnosed with cancer. In this endeavour, Prof Hayes has evaluated the role of physical activity, including exercise, in the prevention and treatment of cancer survivorship concerns in clinical trials and cohort studies, with studies involving those diagnosed with a range of cancers including breast, blood, brain, gynaecological, colorectal and prostate cancer. As a consequence of her expertise and experience, Prof Hayes has contributed to and lead national and international exercise prescription guidelines and physical activity recommendations for people with cancer.
