Breast Reconstruction after breast cancer surgery can have significant psychological and physical benefits. There are numerous options for reconstructions. Limitation in patient’s suitability and their options can be determined by patient lifestyle, preferences, their previous surgical history, adjuvant treatment, medical comorbidities and body habitus. It is important for patients to realise that Breast reconstruction is not for everyone, and despite its benefits, it is elective surgery, thus the benefits must outweigh the risks. This presentation looks at the factors to consider, and the consequences of these risks.
