Anthony Hall

Tony Hall is a clinical pharmacist originally from the UK who immigrated to Brisbane in 1999 and worked at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane with Professor Janet Hardy before moving to work for Queensland Health. Tony has a long history of working in hospital pharmacy in Oncology and Palliative Care but moved to utilise his particular interests and skill base in Persistent Pain in the UK at St James’s University Hospital, Leeds and then at the Gold Coast University Hospital in his current role since 2009. Tony also works part-time as a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Clinical Sciences at Queensland University of Technology teaching pharmacotherapeutics to pharmacists and future Non-Medical Prescribers (Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Optometrists and Nurse Practitioners). He is the author of over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles as well as a book chapter on fentanyl-based opioid analgesics. He is currently conducting research into the management of Persistent Pain and has a particular interest in the role of opioid analgesics, antiepileptic analgesic adjuncts and cannabinoids in pain management.
