Lucy Braude

Lucy is a provisional psychologist and research student in her final year of the Doctorate of Clinical Psychology/Masters of Science program at the University of Sydney. She is conducting research under the supervision of A/Prof Ilona Juraskova, Dr. Jemma Gilchrist and Dr. Laura Kirsten, which focuses on how psychologists can effectively assess and support women who are considering a risk-reducing mastectomy or contralateral prophylactic mastectomy. Lucy’s research aims to create assessment guidelines for psychologists to use when they are working with women considering these procedures, allowing psychologists to provide standardised, evidence-based care to patients.
